Mochi is noting but small and sweet Japanese cake made up of glutinous rice flour.
here is the recipe to make mochi.
1 cup sweetened red bean paste
1 cup glutinous rice flour
1 tsp green tea powder
2 cup water
1 spoon sugar
½ cup cornstarch
seal red bean paste in aluminum foil and place it in the freezer for at least 1 hour
Mix glutinous rice flour and green tea powder slowly in a oven safe bowl. mix in water, then add sugar.
Cover the bowl with aluminium wrap and keep it in the oven for few minutes. .
then take out red bean paste from the freezer and divide it into equal balls.
Remove rice flour mixture from th
apply work surface with cornstarch. Roll about 2 tsp of hot rice flour mixture into themochi ball.
Flatten the ball and place one ball of frozen red bean paste in the center.
Pinch then press the dough around the bean paste until it gets completely covered.
Sprinkle with additional cornstarch and place mochi, seam-side down, in a paper muffin liner to prevent sticking.
mochi is ready to serve...
